Lot 81. Allen Dulles. (1893-1969) Dulles was active in the State Department’s Foreign Service during World War I and in the Office of Strategic Services during World War II. He was director of the Central Intelligence Agency (1953-1961), an organization which he helped establish. Dulles practiced law with his older brother, John Foster Dulles.

The surrender was signed on April 29, 1945 at Allied headquarters in Caserta, Italy, and led directly to the final German capitulation at Rheims a week later.
