Lot 8. George Burns. (1896-1996). American comedian who teamed up with his wife, Gracie Allen. The team became one of the most popular during the golden age of radio in the 1930s and 40s with their trademark banter between the straight man and the ditzy female. George Burns came out of retirement in 1975 to make the movie The Sunshine Boys, exposing him to the younger generations. He continued to be one of America’s most popular comedians until his death, just days after his hundredth birthday.

Ink signature on 8.5x11 blank sheet, signed for the today show and dated in another hand, April 16, 1975.

In very good condition. Punch holes in left margin.
