Lot 24. Samuel McCartney Jackson. (1833-1907). Distinguished Civial War Union general and later he worked for the Internal Revenue and was successful banker, steel manufacturer and politician. He was cited for bravery at the battles of The Wilderness, Spottsylvania , and Bethesda Church, Virginia.
